Performance vs. Expectations

Go and Try It

How does your ISP compare in performance to what you expect them to provide? To find out, read through the following, and fill in the information in the form. By using a Value Model, we can let you know how your Internet Service Provider stacks up.

What is it?

One of the advantages of choosing Specifics to conduct your research project is Value Models, which we develop for the products and services we measure. Value Models give you a roadmap, or plan of action, to follow as you make improvements based on the findings of the study.

The basic premise of Value Models, as with the more traditional gap analysis, is that without measuring the importance of particular attributes, performance measurements have limited usefulness. The difference between a gap analysis and Specifics' Value Models is that Value Models go beyond subtracting absolute values.

So, to see how this works, think about Internet Service Providers in general, and rank the IMPORTANCE of the following attributes. Give the MOST IMPORTANT a ranking of 9 and the LEAST IMPORTANT a ranking of 1, then rank the others in between. Use each number only once. If you have already used a number for ranking one attribute, it will not work for another. Click on the box to the right of each line, fill in your number and press enter.

Think about Internet Service Providers and please rank the importance of the following attributes:

Importance
Attribute 1=Least Important
9=Most Important
Quick access to the Web, few if any busy signals
Reasonable pricing for all services
Generous offering of service options
Offers personal Web page hosting, with adequate storage
Web site Development Services
Responsive, courteous support staff, fixes problems efficiently
Hot links to things I care about
News updates to make me more efficient
Advertising for things I am interested in
